Salary: £33,000 to £37,000 p.a., with a 6-month employment and salary review
The Company:
- Large format digital print company specialising in interior and exterior projects
- Delivering innovative creative solutions for a range of clients in the commercial, public and private sectors
The Role:
- Working in a busy finishing department with various media and substrates
- Hand finishing: responsibilities include standard signage work, working with vinyl surface mount to composite panels, wrapped edge panels, wood signage & acrylic signage, etc.
- Machine finishing, familiarity with a Zund table cutter and JWEI is essential, or demonstrate the ability to learn quickly
- Proficiency with drills and hand tools would be an advantage, should they need to make mechanical fixes and fabricate some elements
- Experience with acrylic face mounts is also essential; a printed image is applied and bonded to the back of a sheet of acrylic to be viewed through the sheet, finished with a split batten hanging system on the reverse
- Handling projects that involve multiple sites
- Ability to manage and mentor apprentices, helping them gain valuable experience to enable them to flourish
Requirements:
- Previous knowledge of working within a large format print production environment
- Positive attitude and a true passion for the industry & print technology
- Work with a sense of purpose and a commitment to excellence
- Ideally you will be looking to progress and develop existing print skills
- Willing to work longer hours to meet deadlines during busy periods
