Position: Technical Sales Engineer
Area: Covering (Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Yorkshire & Lincolnshire)
Salary: £Negotiable + bonus + car
A supplier of precision cutting tools and tooling solutions.
This is a field-based role with a real mix of account management and new business development. You’ll have the freedom to own your territory, backed by an experienced and supportive internal team.
The Role:
- Manage and grow an existing customer base across the above area
- Identify and win new business across manufacturing, engineering, and aerospace sectors
- Provide technical advice on cutting tool selection, application, and optimisation
- Prepare and present technical proposals and quotations
- Work closely with our internal support team to ensure customers get the right solution
- Report on pipeline, territory activity, and market intelligence
Requirements:
- Proven experience in technical sales — ideally cutting tools, tooling, or precision engineering
- Strong understanding of machining processes: turning, milling, drilling, threading
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and comfortable working autonomously
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Full UK driving licence
- An engineering qualification or background is a distinct advantage
