The Role:
| · Day to day will mostly be product development, where you focus on developing new and innovative water based, solvent based and hot melt adhesives which give market-leading advantages to the sales team.
· Involved directly with suppliers and customers. · Learn about new and novel raw materials, reporting this back to the board in addition to getting new prices on raw materials to drive cost savings. · Partnering with sales to support customers’ product/ technical requirements to aid formulating and product development. · Manufacturing support to customer factories as required. Provide leadership in the laboratory, providing man management and driving best practice. |
Requirements:
- At Least a HND or above in a science – either Physics or Chemistry
- At least 3 years of experience in new product development from scope to commercialisation
- At least 3 years of experience in formulating in a transferable technology such as inks, coatings etc
- Driving licence to travel around UK and occasionally Europe
- Experienced in raw material technologies
- Experience in scaling up lab batches to production batches
- Computer literate on word, excel etc to reasonable level
