The Role:
• To support the External Sales Team, to ensure their customers receive the ‘best service’ and swift responses to enquiries and daily problem solving. This may include trips to customers factories in the company of the External Sales Manager or attending meetings internally.
• To liaise with customers by email, telephone, and in person when required. Liaise with other internal Departments including but not exclusive to Production Administration, Departments within the factory, Repro, Estimating, CAD, QA, Warehouse and Transport.
• Requesting and obtaining price information from the Estimating Dept and confirming written prices/quotes to Customers. Normally by email as a recorded method.
• Requesting samples/mock ups from the Design Centre and sending them to the customer by post or courier, obtaining approvals of new designs and providing those approvals to the CAD Department. This task can also be done when assisting the External Sales person.
• Receiving and progressing artworks from the customer through to the Repro department and obtaining final approvals from the customer.
• Processing of orders and raising orders on the systems.
• Progress chasing of orders when required to ensure delivery dates are met and renegotiate new delivery dates with the customer should the need arise.
• Inputting of ‘call offs’ (delivery information) and negotiating delivery dates with the customer to achieve best efficiencies in the factory.
• Supplying customers with weekly or monthly stock sheets whichever the customer’s requires.
• In conjunction with the External Sales person, chasing the customer to take stock that’s overdue/aged and arranging for the stock to be delivered or invoiced.
• Liaising with the External Sales on overdue accounts.
• To ensure that good communication exists between all involved parties thus enabling targets to be achieved.
• To adhere to safe working practices operated within the Department in line with Health & Safety regulations / policies.
• To undertake training and development when required.
Requirements:
• Good standard of education.
• Customer Service background & telephone voice as dealing with customers on the phone & in person.
• Computer literate, with a knowledge of MS Word, Excel and databases.
• Able to work well under pressure, with proven efficiency and ability to work to production deadlines.
• Flexible, able to adapt to the organisation and its’ customers changing needs.
• Effective communicator, able to work with people at all levels of ability, and from different cultures & backgrounds and ability to work well as part of a team.

• Willingness to work outside normal working hours.
