The Role:
• Plan, direct and drive the sales activities within the specified area
• Prepare detailed sales forecasts and advise on sales management strategies to achieve targets, interpret results and take corrective actions to achieve the sales targets
• Use the company’s CRM and other Corporate Tools according to the Company Best Practice
• Contribute to the development of the marketing plans and recommend modifications to the marketing strategies considering trends
• Be the voice of the customer and represent the customer internally.
• Coordinate and action the sales budget and regional business plans
• Using the company’s Business System Tools, prepare and submit a detailed Sales Action, Request for special products and service as required by the customer(s).
• Work closely with Engineering to ensure timely and on the budget delivery of special projects for customers in assigned territory.
• Manage the customer expectations on sales project progress and the final delivery of machine
• Prepare own quotations for the standard product range, applying companies calculations rules
• Conducts price negotiations for machines, software, after market products
• Knows to segment the customer base and define priorities
Cash Management
• Support Finance in preparation of the cash-in management plans and work towards receipt of funds until the machines are paid for in full
• Apply the terms of sales and ensure collection of payment for machines sold on time
Market and Business Development
• Develop strategies and plans for new business opportunities
• Develop new business opportunities
• Report on competitive activities and customer trends
• Define the regional customer buying behaviour and implement strategies that would benefit the business
• In cooperation with Marketing, coordinate and conduct sales promotions and market research
• Execute special marketing projects and programs
• Support trade shows and symposiums
Environment, Health & Safety
• Ensure the working environment is always safe and activities conducted are safe and don’t harm self or other employees
• Eliminate risks in the working environment by conducting housekeeping, conducting risk assessments and working with the line manager to eliminate or at least mitigate the hazards
Requirements:
• Fluent in English, in both verbal and written communication
• Broad experience in all dealings with customers
• “Outgoing” personality with solid verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in high-tech capital equipment investment sector
• Technical selling
• Negotiation skills in competitive environment
• Focused and highly driven to achieve agreed targets
• Good personal presentation of him/herself
• Demonstrate a flexible and “can do” attitude
• Interface between customer and the Company
• Demonstrates PC Skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to meet deadlines and organise work priorities
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Willing to travel
• Highly developed organisational skills
• Self-starter, able to work under time constraints, detail-oriented
• Work as part of a team
• Ability to work well with both internal and external customers
• Drivers licence for company, home office based with frequent visits to head office in Europe
