Increasing current sales turnover and profitability for own portfolio of customers / opportunities
Customer relationship management, providing a high level of customer service, support and liaison to maximise sales activity at all times
Ensuring frequent contact is made with existing or new customers by site visit (a minimum of once per quarter), trade shows, phone, email and social networking.
Develops a sales strategy that ensures attainment of Company sales goals and profitability.
Develops a work schedule to be submitted by Thursday PM each week for a future rolling 3 week period. Additional visits and changes are to be communicated within 24 hours of the change.
Maintains accurate records of all sales visits and contacts and submits a sales report for each visit or contact within 48 hours.
Take responsibility for all quotes and costings being up to date, reporting on visits and following up actions and making sure the information on CRM is accurate. Reports to be complete within 2 days of each visit / contact
Identifies new sale and product opportunities and prepares and co-ordinates action plans.
Provides a monthly business development report regarding performance.
Assists, creates and conducts proposal presentations and company responses.
Attends technical training or sales conferences at principals (international and domestic).
Attends trade shows and trade association meetings and functions where directed or approved by the CD.
Provide timely and accurate customer and prospect communication by ensuring that all order, sample and information requests are passed to the administration department within 2 hours of the request or order.
Liaising with internal departments throughout the group to ensure operational efficiency e. sales queries, customer service issues, accounts queries, stock availability and planning
Demonstrates the ability to interact and cooperate with all company stakeholders
Providing accurate and timely market and product information to the sales team in relation to own customers / areas
Receives any customer complaints and delegates responsibility or action to ensure speedy resolution and customer satisfaction
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes to ensure a professional and consistent company image is upheld
Sound experience within a similar sales executive or sales manager role
Technical knowledge of coatings, plastics, injection mouldings
Working knowledge of coatings / construction chemicals
Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
Outstanding negotiation and communication skills – verbal and written
Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications, Outlook and CRM
Targets and results driven
The ability to travel on company business
Self-motivated with fantastic organisational skills
