Responsibilities
- The client are looking for a leader to establish and head up their Regulatory Compliance team. This will be a senior position and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the direction of this department.
- Researching upcoming regulations and propose solutions of how the company can meet any new requirements
- Transform complex regulatory requirements into use friendly information and guidelines to enable compliance throughout the company
- Support and train the compliance team to answer customer questions on the compliance of individual products.
- Ensure that other departments adhere to the rules and regulations that the company upholds
- Have knowledge of UK & EU Reach, Plastic Packaging Tax, DGNs, COSHH, Risk Assessments, QA agreements (pharma), SDS creation, UFIs and poison centre notifications, EcoVadis assessments, Packaging Waste Regulations, MHRA, Soil Association, RSPO, EcoCert, Chemical Inventory for CIS regions.
Requirements:
- The successful candidate will be expected to ensure that the company complies with all laws, rules and regulations related to chemical distribution and to lead, coach and motivate a compliance team who are both office and home based.
- Experience of the chemical formulating industries – Essential
- Knowledge of chemical regulations that impact distribution – Essential
- Degree of equivalent in a scientific discipline – Preferred
- Competent I.T. user – Essential
- Full UK driving license – Essential
- Collaborator able to interact with different people at different levels
- Ability to lead and coach a team and work independently as the business needs
- Excellent clear concise communicator
- Initiative taking, self-motivated, and flexible
- Strong organized approach
