The Company
- One of the UK’s leading specialists in the design and manufacture of retail fixtures, retail displays, display units and POP displays all within an 80,000 square feet state of the art factory
- Working with high street retailers this is an exciting opportunity to join a busy design team in an expanding pos/retail design and manufacturing company based in Hertfordshire
The Role:
- Design and develop cost effective solutions for manufacture
- Create workable designs for manufacture whilst maintaining the original design intent
- Produce drawings from quotation sketches, through to full production drawings
- Liaise with internal departments such as estimating and prototyping
- Attend meetings with clients/suppliers as required
Requirements:
- The successful applicant will be required to work alongside the design team, have minimum three years’ experience in a similar industry
- Be proficient in Autodesk inventor/solidworks, and have a thorough knowledge of materials and processes including injection moulding, vac forming, metalwork and joinery
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage own projects to tight deadlines is essential
