Responsibilities:
• The Assistant branch manager is the second in command off the office when the branch manager is out , a customer service and back office process champion, the assistant Branch manager make sure the internal processes within the office are carried out effectively by stores, Admin, and the internal team in accordance with best practice
• Promote the company & branch best practices for the use of the phone and email system within the branch. Deliver mentoring and support to those not doing so
• Promote then company & branch best practices for the use of the CRMI system for managing customers and contacts, maintaining their details and accounts relating to them within the Branch. Deliver mentoring and support to those not doing so
• Promote the company & branch best practices for the quotation process within the branch. Including but not limited to Pre-qualifying calls. Deliver mentoring and support to those not doing so.
• Promote the company & branch best practices for the use of the service allocation report, and orders due report within the branch. Deliver mentoring and support to those not doing so
• Carry out the requisition tasks of the branch manager, when the branch manager is not in the office.
• Make business decisions relating to the branch and internal sales team when the Branch Manager is not available.
• Hold the Monday, Wednesday and Friday meetings when the branch manager is not available.
• Be a key part of the quality team.
• Deal with supplier queries in conjunction with the branch manager
• Apply for and Add Approved SPA’s to CRMI when required
• Carry out the branch order calendar tasks as required
Requirements:
• HNC/HND or above in electrical or control engineering
• A customer centric service approach.
• Works well under pressure
• Friendly and approachable
• Good telephone skills and an enjoyment speaking to people on the phone.
• Good time management, and the ability to regulate their time even under stressful conditions
• Good IT skills, strong in excel, word, and outlook.
• Good communicator
• You MUST have an electrical background
• You MUST be well organised and thorough , comfortable receiving and promptly actioning tasks set by branch manager
• The candidate MUST be happy being pro-active / cold calling
• MUST be happy mentoring other staff
• The candidate must have experience leading teams ( even small teams)
